every old bedroom has wall scars
[war scars]
patched and painted over,
enough so that the next tenant won't mind;
but sometimes they do.
sometimes there's a heavy scar
right where he desires to hang his favorite picture,
and the wall is too weak
to carry the weight on the nail.
even if he doesn't realize,
the depth and heaviness of that scar
proves the ideality
for that picture-hanging place on the wall.

[and she's covered in wall scars.]

[unfinished thoughts]
